Vehicle Description The XJ-S is a grand touring luxury car manufactured by Jaguar from 1975 to 1996.
The 2nd generation was introduced in July of 1981 and was renamed the XJ-S HE for its high efficiency V12 which offered much better fuel economy.
In 1986 & 1987 a convertible was available from an aftermarket company sourced by the manufacturer.
In 1988 Jaguar offered their own convertible XJ-S which came standard with a 5.
3L V12 that produced 262hp.
Optioned in a gorgeous Signal Red with a tan leather interior and a black top this beauty is timeless.
This particular example was driven as a demo by the owner of A.
C.
Imports until 01/27/92 when it was first titled so technically it is a 1 owner car.
The current owner had it shipped to Florida in 2006 where it lived until 2017 when the car was relocated back to IL full time.
It has never been driven in the winter and it shows.
It has spent most of its life with the top down.
As a result the FL summers faded it badly enough that the current owner had a brand new interior installed in 2017.
The car has been regularly serviced and everything works as it should.
The car currently has 45,339 original miles and is all original except the stereo which was upgraded when the interior was replaced.
If you have been looking for a clean XJ-S convertible you have just found one of the nicest available.
If you agree we urge you to reach out before it is too late!.
