Vehicle Description The Ford Thunderbird is a personal luxury car produced by Ford from model years 1955 until 1997 and again from 2002 until 2005.
Introduced as a two-seat convertible the T-Bird was produced in a variety of body configurations.
This particular example is from the final generation designed once again as a sporty two-seat convertible.
Ford positioned the Thunderbird as an upscale model and it is credited in developing a new market segment, the personal luxury car.
Production of a revived two-seat Thunderbird was launched for the 2002 model year and continued through the 2005 model year.
After a five-year hiatus, Ford introduced the 2002 Thunderbird.
Returning to the original formula for the Thunderbird, the latest version had a two-passenger convertible with an optional removable hardtop and styling like the first-generation.
The 11th-generation Thunderbird's exterior styling was unique relative to the others, the instrument panel, steering wheel, and other trim pieces was borrowed from the Lincoln LS.
The engine in 2003 and later models was a Jaguar-designed AJ-35 in 2003 and later Thunderbirds bringing with it variable valve timing, electronic throttle control and a peppy 280hp V8 with 286lbs of torque.
This particular example is finished in Evening Black of which only 3,093 were produced.
It is beautifully complimented with a Torch Red leather interior that has matching interior trim pieces.
It is 100% original and comes with the optional hardtop, storage rack, soft top boot.
Not only that but it is a 2 family vehicle with an incredibly low 18,864 miles.
If you have been in the market for one of these you will be very hard pressed to find one with this low of miles, especially in black.
