Vehicle Description The 1st generation Camaro first arrived in dealerships in September of 66 as a 67 model on a brand new F body platform.
For its second year the 68 model was updated with the introduction of Astro Ventilation, side marker lights were added on the front and rear fenders and it received a more pointed front grille in addition to divided rear taillights.
This particular example is believed to be a 3 owner car with 42,145 original miles that the 3rd owner has owned since 2003.
The trim tag shows that it was born in Norwood during the 1st week in April of 1968 as a RS with a 327ci V8, a 4 Speed Muncie transmission.
It retains its original 327ci engine which was rebuilt less than a 100 miles ago.
When the engine was rebuilt it was also restored during which time it was repainted in its original color of Grotto Blue with Tuxedo Black stripes and it was topped off with a new black top.
During its restoration it was upgraded with an aluminum radiator, a billet pulley system and 4 wheel disc brakes.
The current owner wanted vented windows and a Deluxe interior from a 1967 so he made those changes during the restoration.
It also was upgraded with the SS package, an optional roll bar as well as a BT stereo with new speakers.
Additionally you will find a newer battery, an electronic ignition, a new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its performance exhaust.
The car is not only a pure pleasure to drive but it is absolutely gorgeous to look at.
It is 99% complete and in need of just a few minor details to be 100%.
This car is basically a #1 car but we have conservatively appraised it as # 2 car which currently has a value of $84,805.
We are realistic about its value and have priced it accordingly.
