Vehicle Description The C3 Corvette was sold by GM from 1968-1982 and was the 2nd generation of the Stingray.
Engines and chassis components were mostly carried over from the previous generation but the body and interior were new.
In 1980 both the front and rear bumpers were restyled with aerodynamic spoilers that resulted in a significant reduction in drag, increased radiator air flow and the hood was also restyled.
Air conditioning became standard as did the tilt-telescopic steering column, power windows, exterior sport mirrors and the convenience group.
This particular example retains its numbers matching 200hp 350ci V8, has 59,355 original miles and also retains its original paint and interior.
It has had a mechanical restoration about 5 years ago at which time the fuel injection was swapped out for an Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carb; the brakes were completely gone through and it got all new lines, calipers, pads and rotors; all fluids and filters were changed including the radiator, transmission and rear end; it has new tires; and the a/c was recharged and blows ice cold.
Mechanically and electrically everything is in proper working order except the power door locks do not have enough power to unlock the driver door, the cruise is not working and the wipers work intermittently.
It fires up without hesitation every time.
It runs perfectly and sounds just plain nasty ripping through its performance exhaust.
The original paint and interior are showing their age.
Addressing these issues would enhance the value significantly.
The best part is it needs nothing mechanically so you can enjoy it as is.
Based on its present condition we would rank it as a solid # 3 car and would value it at the average NADA value which is currently $20,355.
