Vehicle Description The third generation of Corvette was produced by Chevrolet from 1968 through 1982 and is referred to as the C3.
The chassis components and engine options were mostly carried over from the C2 but the body and interior were completely redesigned.
The 69-76 model years were referred to as Stingrays with a single word for the 2nd time which was retired in 1977 until it was brought back with the introduction of the C7 for 2014.
This particular example was painted Monza Red in 2012 and it still shows incredibly well.
The original 427ci V8 was replaced back in the early 70's with a CE block under GM warranty.
When the car was repainted the engine was fully serviced before being put back in the vehicle, as was the original M21 tranny and posi rear end.
At the same time the problematic pop-up headlight doors were removed and it was fitted with stationary lights.
It also received an aluminum radiator which has eliminated issues with overheating associated with the larger V8.
Besides the color change, the CE block, the headlights, the chrome alternator and the radiator the only other thing not original to the car that we are aware of is the stereo system.
It is loaded with factory options which includes A/C (not working), Soft Ray tinted glass, headrests, power brakes, power steering, front fender louver trim and the side exhaust.
This beauty has been serviced recently and is ready to go.
On a scale from 1-5 we would rank this as a very strong #3 car and would appraise it at $54,021.
